So I purchased my google chromecast yesterday and after using it I saw the outages when compared to Apple TV…
1.) You can’t stream from iTunes online from the google chrome browser or cell phone apps such as Netflix and Hulu
2.) The device was very user friendly but it is not exactly what you would expect after purchasing
3.) Streaming Netflix from google chrome did not work, in turn I had to use my cell phone app and for what I was looking for, this just doesn’t work
To conclude, the Chromecast is great for the user who has wifi, needs something to play Netflix and Hulu from and that’s it. If you are looking to mirror your computer (Apple) and stream from iTunes and more applications, I suggest Apple TV. I have an N64 and Sega Genesis emulator on my MacBook Air and I wanted the ability to play it on my tv, well Apple TV makes that possible with AirPlay.
Thanks google, but going back to Apple :-)
Google has done it again! Just when you thought they weren’t going to have a comeback for all of the devices enabling users to watch streaming tv… Well its here. Google’s Chromecast allows users to simply plug and play. Its that simple. Plug the USB device into your tv and using your smart phone, computer or other smart device, you can control and watch anything you can imagine. Chromecast supports hulu, youtube, netflix and more. Watch the video and see for yourself….
It’s only $35 !!!
